The village of Ponte Arche owes its name to the ancient bridge over the Sarca river which connects the hamlets stretching along its river banks

Ponte Arche is the main village of the municipality of Comano Terme and lies at an altitude of 400 m a.s.l. Despite being a small locality it is still the economic and social centre of the valley and the entire Giudicarie Esteriori.
This renowned tourist destination lies halfway between Lake Garda and the heart of the Brenta Dolomites in the south-western part of Trentino. Its central position and proximity to the thermal Baths of Comano, a centre which is known all over Europe for its excellent dermatological treatments, as well as its alpine climate make it a perfect holiday destination. It is accessible from Ponte Arche via a path through an extensive park.
This area is a true hiker's paradise. From Comano it is possible to climb up to the summit of Monte Casale, the most characteristic panoramic spot of the Giudicarie Esteriori. From there you can enjoy a fantastic view of seven alpine lakes, as well as the impressive peaks of the Brenta Dolomites and the Adamello-Presanella group.
