The municipality of Sella Giudicarie was formed following the fusion of the municipalities of the alta Valle del Chiese di Bondo and includes the villages of Breguzzo, Lardaro and Roncone. It is home to 2,900 inhabitants and stretches to the Sella di Bondo, the watershed between the riverbeds of the Chiese and Sarca stream.
Embedded in the beautiful, verdant meadows, fields and forests, the municipality of Sella Giudicarie stretches from the so-called "Busa" which includes the villages of the Giudicarie Centrali, up to the 3,001 m a.s.l. of Cima Cop di Breguzzo in the Adamello Group at the southern border of the Adamello Brenta Nature Park. The first settlements of this ancient rural village date back at least to the early Bronze Age, as some important archaeological findings testify.
This once rural area has recently become an increasingly important tourist destination. The hamlets of the municipality of Sella Giudicarie are ideal starting points for hikes in the surrounding nature with its stunning panoramic views, which is also of geological value.
