Tenna is situated between the hill where once stood an Austro-Hungarian fortress and the pine tree forest of Alberé. This small municipality at 569 m a.s.l. has about 1,050 inhabitants and is nestled between Lake Levico and Lake Caldonazzo. The meadows on the hill are covered with Trentino's famous apple orchards, whereas in the distance you can admire the impressive peaks of the Brenta Dolomites.
At the village centre lies an extensive park where families can undertake relaxing walks and have fun. Here you can visit a Roman milestone which testifies the presence of the ancient via Claudia Augusta. This 517-km-long Roman road connected Altino near Venice with Donauwörth at the Danube.
