The round-shaped Cima Palòn is the highest peak of the Pasubio massif in the Prealpi Venete. The Cima del Cogolo Alto and the Cima Palòn are both situated right at the beginning of the Pasubio range. From the top of the summit you have a spectacular view of the Alpi Orientali, the Brenta Dolomites and the Pale di San Martino.
The mountain is reachable via different hiking paths of various difficulty levels and features an interesting tunnel.
During World War 1, the Cima Palòn was a military base of the Italian Army and in this period a connection tunnel between the peak and the nearby Dente Italiano was built and named after Achille Papa, the General of the Liguria Brigade.
