From Lake Garda along the Sarca river and through the Valle dei Laghi - a pleasant cycle track with some final climbs

The cycle track starts in the area of Lake Garda west of Torbole near Linfano, where the Sarca river flows into the lake. It is directly connected to the cycle path Riva - Torbole - Mori and runs along the river at the foot of Mt Brione, opposite the town of Arco. This beautiful city with its eponymous castle is definitely worth a visit and perfect for a break to enjoy a delicious ice cream or a coffee. The cycle path continues north to Ceniga and Dro. The route leads directly into the centres of both villages before continuing through marvellous olive tree groves and vineyards. On the eastern side of the valley stands Castel Drena. The cycle path leads to the Marocche di Dro, a rocky moonscape-like landscape across sections of woodland.
Leaving the woodland behind, we reach the vineyards of Pietramurata and then the village of Sarche, where a narrow gorge heads west towards Ponte Arche and Tione. Here, we have to continue on the Gardesana road or a secondary street, as this section of the cycle path has not yet been completed. Even if the route is a few kilometres shorter due to this deviation, the amazing view on Lake Toblino and the romantic Castel Toblino are definitely worth it. After a short climb, we reach the village of Vezzano where we rejoin the cycle path until the Laghi di Terlago, where it currently ends. An extension to Trento is planned.
