Soraga is situated at 1,220 m a.s.l., only a few kilometres from Moena. Like all the other villages of the valley, Soraga is surrounded by green meadows and dense woods, as well as the blue-emerald waters of the Avisio stream. Here, the stream widens and slows its course as it flows towards the Valle dell'Adige.
"Sorega" is the Ladin name for this village and is probably associated with its geographical position "above the water". This renowned village is the perfect place for nature lovers, wishing to explore nature, the woods and mountains during a relaxing stroll. Furthermore, it is also considered a Dolomitic paradise for cross-country skiers. The world-famous Marcialonga in fact, passes through this village. Free ski buses take snow enthusiasts to the localities that are part of the Dolomiti Superski circuit.
