Sfruz

The Corno di Tres overlooks the typical alpine village of Sfruz, one of the oldest and highest located municipalities of the Val di Non

The structure of Sfruz didn't change at all over the years. In fact, the original farm houses and some noble residences can still be seen.

Around Piazza Degasperi you can admire the architectural uniqueness of those buildings: entrance halls, stone portals, wooden superstructures, inscriptions and some frescoes, including the one depicting the buildings towards via Roen.

The road to Passo Predaia starts behind the Sant'Agata church by Pietro Bianchi. Here you can find some other typical and interesting architectural elements of the local art, such as a portal with a coat of arms dating back to 1704. Towards the end of this road there are a playground and a high-relief of S. Barbara, the patron saint of miners.
