This hike starts at the Passo Sommo leads past rif. Paradiso and further to the small peak of Monte Cornetto della Vigolana above Folgaria - a panoramic mountain in the Southern Calcareous Alps

Our starting point of today's hike to the Cornetto della Vigolana (2,060 m a.s.l.), is passo del Sommo at 1,340 m along the road between Folgaria and Lavarone. The car park is only 200 metres from Chalet Sommo towards Folgaria. We follow the forest road leading across the meadows to the forest. Slightly higher we follow the signpost "Rifugio Paradiso", a former refreshment point which is now closed. The hut lies at the centre of the meadow and was the mountain station of the chair lift from Folgaria.
We walk uphill to the San Vigilio chapel where we take path no. 425 ascending through the forest. Initially, this itinerary is quite steep, but soon it flattens, running along the slide of the gorge in the Val Profinaz. The landscape is characterised by mountain pines and flowers thriving on the white calcareous rocks. We walk past the crossroads near the foresummit of Mt Cornetto where the Croce dello scialpinista (ski mountaineer cross) rises, and continue until the panoramic point at the summit.
On our return we descend past the foresummit of Mt Cornetto and take path no. 451 through a typical mountain landscape with meadows and forests. We then descend until the crossroads at Malga Cornetto di Dietro where our path meets the itinerary we took before and cover the last two kilometres towards Passo Sommo. The huge variety of landscapes along the forest path leading across a steep ascent in a rocky landscape, turns this hike into an unforgettable experience.
