This small city 10 kilometres east from Trento is dominated by the impressive walls of Castello di Pergine which stands on the Colle Tegazzo. Its historic centre boasts elegant Renaissance residences, ancient Patrician residences and precious churches, including the wonderful 13th century church on top of a hill.
Only a few kilometres from Pergine lies Lake Caldonazzo with the well-equipped San Cristoforo beaches, a perfect destination for active summer holidays. The lake is famous for different water sports like sailing, wind surfing, canoeing, rowing and dragon boating. Here you can also find different golf clubs, campgrounds, hotels and restaurants right at the shore.
The surroundings of Pergine are characterised by valleys and forested mountains with numerous trekking itineraries leading to the archaeological sites of Serso and to the majestic peaks of the Lagorai chain. Near the sports centre you can discover several biotopes, including Lago Pudro and the higher located laghi di Madrano and Canzolino.
