To the two historical mountain huts near Trento

The snow-shoe tour leads to the Monte Marzola di Villezzano, exactly from the P. Prati mountain hut to the Maranza mountain hut.

This snow-shoe tour follows the western slopes of the Monte Marzola and takes you to the two mountain huts Rifugio Prati and Rifugio Maranza, steeped in the history of the Trentino.

From the parking space of the mountain hut Rifugio P. Prati - Bindesi, at 611 m asl, you follow the road up to a fork. From this place, take the path downwards and in southern direction. Where the forest is less dense, you can look down on the Val d’Adige. At Sass del Carpen, you come across another path: follow the way with the SAT signposts, becoming wider the farther we walk. Then we start the walk up to the Rifugio Maranza (1,067 m asl). When we reached the first buildings under the huge meadow of the Maranza mountain hut, our walking destination is only a stone’s throw away. Some more steps and you finally reach the mountain hut.

For the way back we take the same route. We also recommend a stop at the P. Prati - Bindesi mountain hut, where you can admire an astonishingly beautiful view down on the valley.
