Also in winter the Malga Kaserbisn with its mountain hut, above of Fierozzo in the Val dei Mocheni valley, is an ideal excursion destination for families with children.

Destination of our winter hike are the so-called Prati imperiali meadows, Kaiserwiesen in German or Kaserbisn in the dialect of the Valle dei Mocheni valley, which is an ancient language of Germanic origin. An easy hike amidst gorgeous nature leads us to this lovely spot.
The mountain hut, which is located there, is a true showpiece: beautifully maintained with cosy benches and plenty of curious residents, from dogs and horses to sheep and donkeys. Starting point of our winter hike is the parking space in the Val Cava valley, accessible along a little road which branches off to the right between the villages of Frassilongo and Palù del Fersina in the Valle dei Mocheni valley.
We always follow the marker “Ippovia del Trentino Occedentale” towards “Prati Imperiali/Kamauz/Kaserbisn/Van Spitz”. The path leads us straight to the Kaserbisn Hitt mountain hut. To come back we recommend the parallel forest road, which is located only few hundred metres higher.
Please note: if you want to eat at the Kaserbisn Mountain hut, please call in advance; phone: +39 348 816 3490.
