The ancient medieval fortress was replaced by a new one in the 17th century, thus losing its original character

Castel Vigolo is enthroned on a hill between the villages of Vigolo Vattaro and Bosentino.
The castle was renovated quite recently. It is decorated with elegant double arched windows from the 16th century. From the ancient defence wall, only the square tower and some parts of the walls have been preserved.
