The history of the castle is quite turbulent. Especially the battle of Calliano has to be mentioned in this context, where the two great powers of the Habsburgs and the Venetians fought against each other.
The castle changed hands several times and so the Castelbarco family also lived here, but they left the castle to move a little closer to the village.
Today only the ruins of Nomi Castle can be visited, from where you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view on the valley and the surrounding Castles.
