The 13th-cenutry fortress Castel Vasio stands on a hill in the municipality of Borgo d'Anaunia in the upper Val di Non with Rio Novella flowing below it.

This majestic building changed hands and appearance several times over the centuries.

Please note: The road and the entire area of Castel Vasio are currently closed due to a landslide which had seriously damaged the structure of the fortress.
