The remains of the Castello di Nomi stand on a rocky cliff on the hill Corona, overlooking the village of Nomi
Image gallery: Castello di Nomi
The Castello di Nomi belongs to an immaginary square together with Castel Beseno, Castel Pietra and Castel Barco. The Castello di Nomi is often associated with the Battle of Calliano during which the Habsburgs fought against the Venetians. The castle was in the hands of the Castelbarco family in alternating periods before they abandoned it for a more comfortable residence in the underlying village.
Today only the ruins of the castle in Nomi can be visited. From this spot you can admire marvellous panoramic views of the valley and the nearby castles.
