Castel Casez, also known as Palazzo Concini, is situated at an altitude of 692 m a.s.l. in the main square of Casez, a village near Sanzeno. It was built in the 15th century on a preexisting construction of the 13th century. Despite having been rebuilt several times in the 19th century, the castle has maintained its original appearance to this day.
Its crenellated curtain wall and tower are still visible. The Bragherio di Coredo family, its first owners, acquired the castle as a fief in the 13th century, when it consisted only of a square tower. Later the building was enlarged until it covered the whole square and even used as a residence for the noble family De Concini. The square is surrounded by the castle's residential buildings in Venetian gothic style and decorated with typical Nordic elements.
Today, the castle is a private residence and can be visited only on special occasions.
