We highly recommend undertaking this hike around the lakes of Piné in late May

We start from Serraia (near Baselga di Piné and walk along the lakeshore of Lago di Serraia to Rizzolaga. In the rushes we can spot some great crested grebes and Eurasian coots. The lakeside, a promenade with some rest areas and small meadows, extends to the biotope "Paludi di Sternigo". At the northernmost part of the lake we take the road to Campolongo al Lago leading past Rizzolaga.
At this point we arrive at the second lake, Lago delle Piazze, which is slightly smaller but as beautiful as Lago di Serraia. We walk along the lakeshore below the locality of "Le Piazze" near Bedollo (the path parallels the road). A beautiful pedestrian and cycle path near the Hotel Pineta runs across the forest paralleling the lakeside. From here we can see Lago delle Piazze from another perspective and observe a huge variety of waterbirds.
We reach Lago di Serraia from the south-eastern shore and complete our circular tour by walking along the lakeside (Lido) before returning to our starting point.
