Spring hike around Cavedine

This long, circular spring and autumn hike leads from Drena to Dos Croz passing past Lago di Cavedine and the Marocche biotope

We start our hike in the village of Drena north of Lake Garda and walk through the forests near Cavedine. The path to Narveol branches off from the main road, hidden among the trees, and takes us to a group of farmsteads. From there the path continues uphill until it joins the paths leading to Dos Croz.

From Dos Croz we have a stunning view of the Valle di Cavedine and Monte Bondone. We continue downhill along the path towards north which reaches the Santuario Madonna della Grotta and then the village of Cavedine. From there, we continue along the road to Lago di Cavedine.

We walk along the lakeshore towards south. Once arrived at the locality of Trebi, we take the path on the left (via Predorighi), and, after the bend we follow via alle Pozze (on the right) which leads us to the path back to Drena. The itinerary is quite long (16 km) but runs across a fantastic and varied landscape, including forests, hills, meadows, mountains and the stunning Lago di Cavedine.
