Malga Bocche is located at the edge of the Paneveggio forest, on a stunning meadow with views of Passo Rolle, Lagorai and the Pale di San Martino

The well-known Bocche mountain hut, awarded “Most beautiful mountain hut of Trentino” in 2015, is accessible via three routes. One starting point is Passo di Lusia, which can be easily reached by several ski lifts. Alternatively, you can follow a hiking path starting from the small village of Paneveggio. The third route begins at Passo Valles and passes through a dense forest before crossing a beautiful larch forest in its upper section, where hikers can admire remains of the Great War.
For today's hike, we choose the latter route, starting from Malga Vallazza, only a few kilometres from Passo Valles for those coming from Predazzo or Passo Rolle. From Malga Vallazza we take path no. 623 to Malga Juribrutto and continue towards Malga Bocche. On our way back, we take the same route. Although the walk is consistently at an altitude of approximately 2,000 m a.s.l., the path involves numerous short ascents and descents, resulting in a cumulative difference in altitude of 600 metres each way.
