In spring wild narcissus bloom on the meadows of Dromaè above Ledro

We drive along the road climbing from Mezzolago sul Lago di Ledro towards the mountain. At the beginning of the forest there is a small car park from where we start our hike. Initially we need to tackle a steep ascent along the mule path no. 453. After a little more than an hour, we arrive at a forest road and then to the first houses of Dromaè. In late spring a carpet of blooming wild narcissus make this place very special.
We remain on the forest road and climb up towards Malga Dromaè and to the steep slope below the Bocca di Dromaè and cima Sclapa from where you have a fantastic view of Lake Ledro amidst the high alpine meadows covered with wild narcissus. For our descent we take the forest road which is longer but definitely less steeper than the mule path we ascended before. The forest road also runs past an Austro-Hungarian stronghold, a remain of the Great War. The undergrowth beside the path is full of blooming peonies.
