Discover the forest’s inhabitants and their habits through various educational installations along the route

Our starting point is the village centre of Daiano. In front of the town hall we find a large map showing the circular route. You can choose between the red track (short path) and the blue track (long path). We choose the longer, blue itinerary and take the path on the right. After walking past the Birrificio di Fiemme (brewery of Fiemme), we turn left and enter the forest. Here, we soon meet a donkey and two horses before reaching the first installation dedicated to bees. This well-marked itinerary is characterised by signposts attached to trees and wooden birds indicating the colour of the path and the direction.
We proceed on the path and walk past various installations: worker bees, the goblin's hut, the large mountain rooster, the mother bear with her cubs and the old trunk with its inhabitants. Next, we arrive at "Maso dello Speck", where you can taste local delicacies. If we had more time we would definitely stop at the playground to let the children play and enjoy the scent of mountain speck, but unfortunately it is already late and we have to continue walking. We then reach a pond with goldfish, where information panels tell about the life cycle of frogs. The children are amazed by the nearby horses who are waiting for strokes. We ascend along a road until we arrive at the final installation, showing tracks and silhouettes of animals living in the forest. This place also features a picnic area with a green meadow and a fresh water fountain. From here we walk downhill for a few minutes before returning to our starting point in the village centre.
The short route takes about one hour of walking, whereas the longer route can be completed in a few hours. None of these itineraries is suitable for baby carriages.
