Hike on the Sentiero degli Gnomi to Lake Caprioli

The Sentiero degli Gnomi leads from Pellizzano in the Val di Sole to Lago dei Caprioli at Malga Bassa di Fazzon

This easy and comfortable walk leads us to a stunning lake in the forest. In Pellizzano, we follow the signposts towards Fazzon and Lago dei Caprioli. At the southern edge of the village, the Sentiero della Palù - a forest path to Malga Bassa di Fazzon - starts. Along the first section of this theme path, known as Sentiero degli Gnomi, we can admire several sculptures made of wood, stones and other natural materials, as well as witches, forest spirits, animals and gnomes. Children will definitely enjoy this route.

Slightly higher, we cross a small marsh on wooden bridges and then continue towards Malga Bassa di Fazzon where our path meets an asphalt road. We walk along this road for 400 metres and arrive at the lake. Lago di Fazzon, also known as Lago dei Caprioli is surrounded by coniferous forests. Following a stroll around the lake, we stop for lunch at the restaurant on the northern lake shore. We return to our starting point along the same path.
