Hike to Malga Campo mountain hut near Celentino

Malga Campo is a unique malga embedded in the stunning nature of the Stelvio Natural Park with its pastures with grazing cows, pig farming and its own cheese production. This small but authentic mountain farm gives visitors the opportunity of delving into a world where dedication, traditions and nature harmoniously intertwine.

You can park on the right side of a serpentine along the forest road from Celentino to Malga Campo above the locality of Celentino in the Val di Pejo (follow the signs for Celentino, then continue on the unpaved road to Malga Campo for a few kilometres until you reach a small car park). From there, you can walk along the forest road or take path no. 132 towards Malga Campo. After a relaxing break, take the path to Malga Pozze/Lago di Celentino immediately after the hut.

After admiring the stunning view of the Val di Sole and the surrounding peaks, we descend along the path on the right coming from Malga Campo (this path is not well visible but if you look to your right you will spot it for sure). During the entire hike, including the impressive laghetto di Celentino, you can enjoy a spectacular panorama of the Adamello, Presanella and Ortles-Cevedale groups.
