A beautiful circular hike leads us to the mountain huts of the Val di Rabbi in the Stelvio National Park: Malga Monte Sole, Malga Villar and Malga Cercen Bassa

Malga Monte Sole, situated above the forest limit between the peaks bordering the Val di Pejo, features an extensive garden with deck chairs for sunbathing, an outdoor sauna, and, above all, excellent organic, local delicacies, prepared by the chef and owner of the hut. It is also reachable by car prior a permission released from the malga, but we recommend walking along the easy and short forest path, as the food tastes even better after some physical activity.
From the car park, we take the forest path that starts near a small bridge on the right to our final destination, the malga. Please note: you can also take the path paralleling the forest road, however, we advise against this route, because it is very steep. On our return, we proceed towards Passo Cercen (a stunning panoramic viewpoint at the border between the Val di Rabbi and the Val di Pejo, reachable in approximately 1,5 hours by the most adventurous). Then, we turn left and follow forest path no. 109 to the valley and the Fontanon car park.
